El sector ovino ha sido uno de los grandes actores en la historia del desarrollo económico y social del Uruguay, constituyendo un rol fundamental en el aporte de materia prima para las industrias cárnica y lanera. En este trabajo se incorpora la información genómica de los ovinos uruguayos a la población del consorcio como una primera aproximación para comparar la variabilidad genética entre las razas del ISGC y las uruguayas. |
